Life writes the best scripts. We may not really believe in destiny, but everything in our lives happened at the right place and the right time. When, as a young person, I moved to my mom’s hometown, I passed Hubert many times—we were neighbors. But it was only when he happened to come over for a family barbecue that we truly met. And now, almost 11 years together—inseparable. We were brought together by our shared traits, passions, unconventional plans and dreams, as well as a wonderful story connected to the friendship of our parents in their youth.

We love traveling. And so, spontaneously, two years ago we bought tickets to Santorini. We were a step away from losing the tickets and the trip, because our little son’s passport arrived the day before departure. Hubert proposed right there, with a breathtaking view of the caldera. That same day we were already talking about our wedding. We both joked—maybe on Santorini. We fell in love with the island: its unique atmosphere, architecture, people, and its stunning landscape.

By chance, while browsing wedding inspiration, I found photos by @slubzagranica from Santorini. And so, two years later, we returned to Santorini—this time for our wedding. We couldn’t have dreamed of a more beautiful day; it truly felt like a fairytale. Thank you to the #5Events team—Lidia and Karolina—for making our dream come true.
